The TOP 3 of the biggest hits of 1999 were BIWI NO. 1, HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM and HUM SAATH SAATH HAIN respectively. All of them were SALMAN's movies.
In 1998, the biggest hit was KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI. ( Again it featured SALMAN KHAN). In 1997 the biggest hit was BORDER followed closely by DIL TO PAGAL HAI. In 1996, RAJA HINDUSTANI emerged as the biggest hit. DILWALE DULHANIA LEJAENGE was 1995's biggest hit and is also the second biggest hit of all times ;HUM APKE HAIN KAUN being on top and was obviously the biggest of 1994.
1993 saw Govinda's first mega hit in the name of Ankhen. It was a David Dhawan production. It was followed by SRK's DARR !
Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit created history in 1992 with the biggest hit of that year entitled BETA.
